This campaign is a national, collaborative effort designed to help every state implement a longitudinal data system by 2009, increase understanding and promote the value of how to use financial and longitudinal data systems in order to increase student achievement and promote common data standards for more efficient transfer and exchange of data. To achieve these goals, the campaign will focus on building the support and increasing the understanding of policy makers, providing necessary tools and materials to states, and creating a national forum for collaboration, developing consensus, improving data quality, access and use and reducing duplication.
The campaign is managed by 11 managing partners including the SIF Association, CCSSO, Achieve Inc, Alliance for Excellent Education, The Education Trust, NCEA, NCHEMS, NGA, S & P, SETDA and SHEEO. More information can be found here.
